Recycling park Boortmeerbeek will close from the end of December until autumn 2027 for renovations

The recycling park in Boortmeerbeek will close for renovations after December 31, 2026, and reopen in autumn 2027 as a Diftar-weight park. During the closure, residents can use 15 other Diftar-weight parks. EcoWerf's spokesperson, Machteld Vandenbosch, stated that the new park will be user-friendly and facilitate waste disposal. There will be no changes to household waste collection. Residents will have access to nearby parks in Haacht and Keerbergen, as well as others operating similarly. The Diftar-weight park features a free section and two weighbridges, with fees based on weight and waste type, and identification will be done via eID and automatic license plate recognition.
