Coimbra Metropolitan Area leads European network dedicated to water resilience
The Coimbra Metropolitan Area will lead a new European network focused on sustainable water management and climate adaptation. The project, named Water Sensitive Territories, was selected from 90 applications and includes seven European partners. Its aim is to assist local authorities in implementing water management strategies tailored to specific territorial characteristics. The network will address various water-related challenges, such as drought and flooding, through transnational cooperation and sharing best practices. The initiative will run until April 2029 under the URBACT IV program, emphasizing integrated action plans and community involvement in decision-making processes.
