David Vitézy announced "long-awaited" road development plans
Hungarian Transport Minister Dávid Vitézy announced five long-awaited road development projects on Facebook. These include the construction of an underpass in Nyíregyháza, potential overpass or underpass in Mezőtúr, comprehensive renovations on the 442 main road between Szolnok and Kunszentmárton, and a new bypass road between Kaposvár and Dombóvár. Additionally, several road improvements are planned around Lake Balaton, including a new road connecting Keszthely and the M76, renovations on the 76 main road, and significant bicycle path developments near Keszthely. Vitézy noted that due to the inherited economic situation, only about 20 billion HUF will be allocated for road renovations in 2026, but they will begin preparatory work where possible.
