Record at the competition in Poland. A German caught a gigantic catfish
During a fishing competition in Poland, German angler Oliver Schäfer caught a world-record catfish measuring 292 centimeters. Despite this achievement, he and his partner Kevin Cremers finished second overall due to the points system used in the tournament. The competition in Rybnik featured around 150 anglers from across Europe. Schäfer described the moment he hooked the fish, realizing its size only when it surfaced. The previous record was also 292 centimeters, caught by Polish anglers a year earlier. After measuring and photographing the fish, it was released back into the water.
