Clocks go back one hour on Sunday morning

Portugal will change to winter time by setting clocks back one hour on October 25. In mainland Portugal and Madeira, clocks will move from 02:00 to 01:00, while in the Azores, the change occurs at 01:00, reverting to 00:00. The next time change will be on March 28, 2027, for summer time. This practice is regulated by a 2000 EU directive requiring annual clock adjustments on the last Sunday of March and October.
