Clocks will be set back one hour next dawn

Portugal continental and the autonomous regions of Madeira and the Azores will set clocks back one hour this Sunday, marking the start of winter time. The change will occur at 02:00 in mainland Portugal and Madeira, reverting to 01:00, while in the Azores, clocks will change at 01:00 to 00:00. The next time change will be on March 28, 2027, for summer time. This clock adjustment is regulated by a 2000 directive that mandates the biannual time changes on the last Sunday of March and October.
