REN. State paid a premium of 8.3% to Fidelidade
The Portuguese government, through Parpública, acquired 5.3% of REN's capital from Fidelidade for €138.79 million. This purchase, which received approval from the Court of Auditors, reflects an 8.34% premium over the average share price of REN over the past six months. The Ministry of Finance noted that this premium is lower than the 15% paid to Amancio Ortega in August due to the strategic value of each position. The government aims to strengthen its strategic presence in REN, totaling an investment of €529 million, enhancing oversight and alignment with national priorities while maintaining institutional stability.
