Revolution in doctors' salaries. The Sejm decided how much they can earn at most

The Polish Sejm has passed an amendment to the law regulating healthcare professionals' salaries and working hours, introducing a maximum hourly wage and limiting total working hours. The amendment, supported by 229 votes, includes provisions for healthcare workers to be employed at least half-time and requires employer consent for additional jobs. Critics argue the law may lead to longer patient wait times and push doctors towards private practice due to lower public sector wages. The amendment also introduces stricter penalties for fraudulent practices in healthcare. The Senate will now review the legislation.
