Resignations at the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights. Due to the position on the Constitutional Tribunal
The Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights criticized the decision of Judge Anna Korwin-Piotrowska regarding the suspension of the President and Vice-President of the Constitutional Tribunal. They stated that recent events escalate the ongoing crisis surrounding the Tribunal. The Foundation emphasized that legally elected judges should start their duties and that the President cannot block or invalidate the Sejm's election. Additionally, six members of the Foundation's Council resigned, including Professor Mirosław Wyrzykowski, who disagreed with the Foundation's stance on the Tribunal's situation. Only two members remain on the Council, and the resignations highlight ongoing tensions between the Council and the Foundation's management.
