Post-earthquake reconstruction, eight arrests by the Finance Police of Ancona and 51 under investigation

The operation "Ricostruzione" by the Guardia di Finanza in Ancona led to eight arrests, 51 individuals under investigation, and asset seizures exceeding 57 million euros. This operation targeted an illicit system related to reconstruction contracts following the 2016 earthquake and public tenders from various institutions in the Marche region. The charges include aggravated fraud, organized crime infiltration, and corruption. More than 50 searches were conducted across multiple provinces, including Ancona, Macerata, and Naples.
