Explosives at the gas pipeline, railway, oil company: several Serbian-Hungarian cases await the new government after Vučić

The recent Serbian elections have led to significant challenges for the new government, particularly in relation to Serbian-Hungarian relations. Issues such as an alleged sabotage attempt on the Turkish Stream gas pipeline and the ongoing acquisition of the NIS oil company by MOL are pressing matters. The new leadership, represented by the Student List, aims to maintain good neighborly relations with Hungary, especially given the significant Hungarian minority in northern Serbia. Additionally, the Budapest-Belgrade railway project, a major joint initiative, has faced scrutiny and delays, further complicating bilateral cooperation. The outcome of these issues will shape future interactions between Serbia and Hungary.
