A report by Medietilsynet highlights concerns about Roblox, a popular platform among children aged 9-12, noting issues with game design that encourages prolonged play and in-game purchases. Parents struggle to monitor their children's activities, and the platform's safety features may provide a false sense of security. Roblox is used by 80% of Norwegian children in this age group, surpassing YouTube and TikTok in popularity. The Norwegian government plans to include Roblox in a ban on social media use by children starting in 2027.
