Robot bids for transport, but there are no fire safety regulations for battery storage - challenges ahead for the domestic logistics sector
The lack of sufficient warehouse space in Hungary can lead to significant delays in online orders, as illustrated by a recent case involving a pet food retailer. A customer was promised free delivery within three days, but the confirmation indicated an eight-day wait due to the product being shipped from Poland. The retailer's explanation highlighted logistical complexities, as the decision on warehouse location involves various factors beyond just rental costs, including overall supply chain expenses such as energy and transportation costs. Prologis's Hungarian director, Zsuzsanna Hunyadi, emphasized that these decisions are complex and can sometimes favor locations outside Hungary.
