Romania: sabotage network directed by Russian secret service discovered
The Romanian intelligence service has identified a sabotage network coordinated by Russia, linked to arson near a state-owned arms manufacturer. The group allegedly received a target list from the Russian secret service, including military and industrial sites in Romania and other EU countries. Three individuals, including an Ukrainian and two Belarusians, are facing prosecution for sabotage attempts, with two arrested in Germany and one in Poland. European security agencies, including those in Estonia, have reported increased Russian hybrid activities, such as arson and disruptions to air traffic. Russia consistently denies these sabotage allegations.
