Rescue teams searching for wreckage and survivors – videos from the site of the train accident in Spain
On Wednesday morning, a high-speed train collision occurred near Urda, Spain, involving a Renfe train from Madrid to Seville and an Iryo train. Three train cars derailed, resulting in at least 64 fatalities and 80 injuries. Eyewitness videos and official footage from emergency services flooded social media shortly after the incident. Initial investigations suggest human error may have contributed to the crash, as a malfunction in the automatic signaling system had halted trains in the area. Despite this, the Renfe train was allowed to proceed and collided with the stationary Iryo train.
