Russian Roulette: Rosatom Increases Presence in Iran, Reactor Construction Resumed

Russian company Rosatom is collaborating with Iran on nuclear reactor construction in Bushehr and technology exchange. Following escalating conflicts, including U.S.-Israeli attacks, Rosatom began evacuating staff from the site. Despite security threats, Rosatom plans to increase the workforce at the Bushehr plant to 200 by November to ensure timely completion of the reactor blocks by early 2027. CEO Alexey Likhachev stated they are preparing for potential military escalations but remain optimistic about project progress.
