Russian diesel returns to the American market. The USA does not rule out further deliveries
A tanker carrying Russian oil is en route to the USA, marking the first delivery in months, confirmed by Energy Secretary Chris Wright. This could lead to more shipments of Russian diesel, depending on Moscow's actions regarding the Ukraine conflict. Wright highlighted the global diesel shortage as a pressing issue, with President Trump seeking solutions to stabilize fuel prices ahead of the upcoming elections. In November, three tankers with a total of 140,000 tons of Russian diesel are expected to arrive in the US, with one tanker under European sanctions. The US has temporarily suspended sanctions on Russian diesel, aiming to encourage Russia to reduce conflict and increase diesel production for global markets. Trump announced an agreement with Putin for the import of 4.8 million tons of Russian diesel over the coming months, with immediate exports starting soon.
