Demolition of the "horror estate". Heavy machinery is tearing down the blocks

Three abandoned social housing blocks at Dudziarska 40, 40a, and 40b are being demolished due to poor infrastructure and social issues. The demolition began with heavy machinery focusing on the central block, and the entire process is expected to take six months. The area was previously home to around 200 social apartments, which housed individuals facing eviction from other districts. Over time, the neighborhood became notorious for crime and social problems, leading authorities to relocate residents by 2019. Various redevelopment proposals failed, resulting in the buildings being boarded up in late 2021. The future use of the site remains uncertain.
