A minor posted photos on TikTok wearing a balaclava and holding what appeared to be an automatic weapon. The FSB reported receiving information from the US about a potential terrorist attack in Tsaritsyno, a popular area in Moscow. Following this, security measures were heightened, including restricted access to the park and increased police presence. The US embassy confirmed awareness of a credible threat. In March 2024, the US warned Russia about imminent extremist attacks, which were dismissed by Russian intelligence as vague. Shortly after, an attack occurred at Crocus City Hall, resulting in over 140 fatalities.
