Russia exploits ceasefire to mask military movements, General Staff says

Ukraine's General Staff reported that Russia exploited a humanitarian ceasefire in Oleshky to enhance military operations, including troop rotations and logistics improvements. The ceasefire, aimed at evacuating civilians, was observed from October 27 to November 1, with no reported violations. Ukrainian forces adhered to the ceasefire, while Russian troops allegedly used the opportunity to reposition and reinforce their positions. Nearly 800 civilians were evacuated during this period, with options to relocate to either Ukraine or Russia. Discussions for future humanitarian efforts are ongoing between Ukrainian and Russian officials.
