Russia hits gas production facility in Kharkiv Oblast, critical infrastructure in Dnipro, leaving 30,000 consumers without power
On October 21, Russian attacks targeted critical infrastructure in Ukraine, impacting a gas production facility in Kharkiv and causing power outages in Dnipro. Approximately 30,000 consumers were left without electricity in Dnipro's districts due to the strikes. Naftogaz reported a drone attack on its facility, marking over 400 strikes on its sites since early 2026. The Energy Ministry noted that other regions, including Kyiv and Volyn, also faced outages, with emergency measures implemented in parts of Kyiv. These attacks are part of a broader Russian strategy to disrupt Ukraine's energy infrastructure as winter approaches.
