Russia lost 1 soldier every 35 seconds on Nov. 1, Ukraine's General Staff says
On November 1, Russian forces experienced their highest daily personnel losses of 2,500 since the start of the full-scale war, according to Ukraine's General Staff. This surpasses the previous record of 2,250 losses reported on October 21, 2026. October 2026 was noted as the deadliest month for Russian troops, with a total of 54,400 personnel losses. Since the invasion began on February 24, 2022, Russia's total personnel losses have reached approximately 1.59 million. As casualties rise, there is increasing pressure on Moscow to enhance mobilization efforts, with plans to conscript additional personnel following the September elections. Estimates suggest that Russian casualties are significantly higher than those of Ukraine, with a ratio of about 2.5:1 or 2:1.
