Russian night attacks kill 1 in Kyiv, leave 350,000 in Dnipro without power
On October 29, Russian missile strikes in Ukraine resulted in one death in Kyiv and left 350,000 residents in Dnipro without power. The attacks targeted warehouse buildings in Kyiv's Darnitsky district, causing fires and damage to residential areas. Debris from missiles also impacted a store and residential complex. This escalation follows President Zelensky's report of over 100 missile launches against Kyiv since mid-October. Earlier strikes on October 26-27 had already targeted key infrastructure in the capital. In Dnipro, emergency services are working to restore power after attacks on energy facilities. A separate strike at Dnipro railway station earlier that day killed 14 people and injured others, marking a significant increase in attacks on civilians as winter approaches.
