Russian sabotage network behind Romanian arson attack, officials say

Romanian officials reported that a fire near a state arms company was part of a Russian sabotage campaign. The fire occurred on September 14 in Brasov, near CARFIL SA, a subsidiary of ROMARM. Three suspects, coerced by Russian operatives, were identified, with two arrested while planning similar attacks in Germany. The third suspect is believed to be in Poland. Investigators link this incident to a broader pattern of Russian-instigated sabotage across Europe, aimed at undermining defense capabilities. Recent similar attacks have occurred in Lithuania and Estonia, raising concerns about Russia testing NATO's limits amid ongoing tensions in the region.
