The reconstruction of one of the busiest roads in Poland is starting. What awaits drivers?
Starting November 4, a major traffic reorganization will begin on the A2 motorway between Stryków and Warsaw, covering 92 kilometers. This is the first phase of a comprehensive modernization aimed at enhancing travel comfort and safety. Construction will introduce an additional lane over 89 kilometers, with three lanes in each direction between Stryków and Grodzisk, and four lanes towards Warsaw from Pruszków. The project is divided into four segments to minimize disruptions, with speed limits reduced to 70 km/h and a speed measurement system implemented. The first sections are expected to open by late 2027, with full completion by April 2028, addressing increasing traffic demands.
