The meeting of G20 foreign ministers is starting. Controversies were not lacking.
Foreign ministers from G20 countries will discuss the impact of current political tensions on the global economy in Georgia. Radosław Sikorski will participate in plenary sessions and hold bilateral meetings with counterparts from various nations. Controversy arises as Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is also attending, despite being under Western sanctions. The U.S. State Department announced this meeting aims to prepare for the G20 leaders' summit in December, where Poland will be represented by President Karol Nawrocki. Security measures are heightened in Atlanta due to the event, including drone surveillance and patrol vehicles. The G20, established in 1999, includes 19 major economies and accounts for a significant portion of global GDP and trade.
