The government wants transparency. Pharmaceutical companies must disclose how much they pay doctors

The Polish Ministry of Health plans to introduce a public register for financial relationships between pharmaceutical companies and healthcare professionals. This initiative aims to enhance transparency in the healthcare sector, addressing concerns about undisclosed payments and conflicts of interest. Current reporting practices are deemed insufficient, as many healthcare professionals do not disclose their financial ties with the pharmaceutical industry. The proposed register would require annual disclosures of payments for services, participation in conferences, and other activities. Both the medical community and the pharmaceutical industry support this move, believing it will improve trust and accountability in healthcare relationships.
