The energy-intensive industry in Poland is set to receive significant support, including nearly 2.2 billion PLN in compensation for high energy prices in 2025. A new law aims to introduce additional assistance from 2027 to 2030, totaling 4.8 billion PLN. The government has agreed to remove competitive bidding requirements for accessing these funds, responding to industry pressure. The new framework also includes provisions for temporary reductions in electricity prices for energy-intensive sectors until 2030, with a focus on green investments.
