Patient Rights Advocate on "violation of the right to health services provided with due diligence"
The Patient Rights Ombudsman reported violations of health service rights concerning Patrycja Augustyn, who died after a hemorrhagic stroke. Concerns were raised about the emergency medical team's actions and medical documentation. The Ombudsman called for corrective measures and staff training. Patrycja collapsed at home and was transported to a hospital lacking neurosurgery capabilities, delaying her transfer to a suitable facility. The Ombudsman noted deficiencies in the ambulance's equipment and documentation errors regarding her condition. Previous findings also highlighted issues with medical transport organization and treatment coordination. Two separate investigations are ongoing regarding her death.
