Missile fire from North Korea. Tokyo urgently convenes a crisis staff

North Korea launched approximately 10 short-range ballistic missiles towards the East Sea, prompting Japan to activate a crisis response team. The missiles fell outside Japan's exclusive economic zone, with no reported damage. This marks another show of force from Kim Jong Un's regime, following a series of missile tests this year. Tensions remain high on the Korean Peninsula, exacerbated by recent incidents and accusations between North and South Korea. Kim Yo Jong threatened further military actions if South Korea retaliates.
