Sánchez: "There is a broken trust in the high-speed system"
Pedro Sánchez highlighted the broken trust in Spain's high-speed rail system following the Urda train accident, which has resulted in 69 confirmed deaths. He emphasized the need for solutions to prevent future tragedies, as two major accidents have occurred within a year, totaling 115 fatalities. Sánchez expressed gratitude for the efforts of public servants involved in rescue operations and acknowledged the solidarity shown by the people of Castilla-La Mancha towards the victims' families. Regional President Emiliano García-Page reported ongoing recovery efforts, with 70 missing persons and 39 hospitalized individuals, all in stable condition.
