Sandra Winiecka, Ewa Bratkowska: On the Right to Privacy and the Image of a Child on the Internet

The T-Mobile Polska report "Scale and Characteristics of Sharenting in Poland" reveals insights from a survey conducted in July 2026 with 801 parents and 600 children. It shows that half of the parents shared content about their children in the past year, primarily photos from vacations and family events. Parents expressed a desire to preserve memories rather than to increase their reach. However, responses indicate a disparity in perception; while parents associate sharing with pride and joy, children report feelings of embarrassment, anxiety, and concerns about peer ridicule.
