Saudi giant leaving Poland? Saudi Aramco considers selling assets
Saudi Aramco is reportedly considering reducing its operations in Poland, with plans to potentially sell assets confirmed by multiple sources. The company has tasked JPMorgan Chase with exploring the market for possible buyers, and a shortlist of three interested parties has emerged. Two main scenarios are being considered: a complete exit from Poland or the sale of Aramco Fuels Poland, which generated significant revenue last year. The decision may be influenced by new EU regulations on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards, prompting a review of assets valued at around $50 billion globally, including various sectors beyond fuels.
