Insurance calls State Council to discuss social cohesion amid housing protests
The President of Portugal, António José Seguro, has convened the Council of State for November 2 to discuss social cohesion amid rising protests over housing rights. This meeting follows his call for collaboration between the government and opposition to address the housing crisis. As public mobilization increases, a new protest is planned in Lisbon under the slogan "We have no home, we set up tents!". The Council meeting will occur after individual hearings with parliamentary parties on October 29, following the general debate on the 2027 State Budget.
