Sensation off the Polish coast. Divers have found a wreck that was supposed to not exist
Radio Gdańsk reports the discovery of the wreck of ORP "Gdynia" in the Baltic Sea, previously thought to be fully salvaged. The wreck was found just a few kilometers from shore, with Polish inscriptions confirming its identity. The ship, originally a passenger vessel, was mobilized before WWII and sunk by German bombers on September 2, 1939, resulting in significant casualties. The Maritime Office has protected the site, and divers are collaborating with the Naval Museum in Gdynia to recover and preserve parts of the wreck.
