Serbia's students end the era of President Vucic

After two years of protests, Serbian students achieved a historic victory in the parliamentary elections, ousting President Aleksandar Vucic. The student-led coalition secured approximately 53% of the votes, while Vucic's party garnered around 39%. The protests began after a tragic incident in 2024, highlighting corruption in the government. The new coalition, diverse in ideology, aims to restore the rule of law in Serbia. However, challenges remain, including maintaining unity among various political factions and addressing the existing power structures. The future leadership of the new government is uncertain, with names like Dejan Soskic being mentioned as a potential candidate.
