Serial killer Ted Bundy also linked to the murder of Melissa Ann (17)

Utah police have linked the cold case of 17-year-old Melissa Ann Smith to serial killer Ted Bundy. Smith disappeared in July 1974 after visiting a pizzeria and was found dead a week later, having been raped and murdered. The case remained unsolved until new DNA evidence connected Bundy to Smith's murder, similar to another case involving 17-year-old Laura Ann Aime, whose DNA was also linked to Bundy. Bundy was known for killing at least thirty women in the 1970s and was executed in 1989.
