Serbia makes history. Student movement defeats former president at the polls
In Serbia, the student-led movement "Student List - Students Win" achieved a historic victory in early legislative elections, defeating former president Aleksandar Vučić. Vučić acknowledged his loss as the student movement garnered 2.2 million votes compared to his party's 1.72 million. Celebrations erupted across cities, with crowds chanting "Serbia is free". The student protests began two years ago after a tragic train station collapse linked to corruption. The elections saw a record voter turnout of 69.34%. Despite some violent incidents reported during voting, the student movement aims to liberate the country from tyranny and promote a free state.
