Seven Intermarché stores hit by cyberattack in Portugal

Seven Intermarché stores in Portugal were impacted by a cyberattack that affected refrigeration systems, similar to incidents in several European countries. The Mosqueteiros Group confirmed the attack targeted an external service provider managing these systems. Necessary procedures were initiated to minimize the impact and restore normal operations, ensuring the supply chain and food safety standards remained intact. Other stores in Belgium, Luxembourg, Sweden, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Estonia were also affected, with temperatures in refrigeration units rising to 50°C. Authorities suspect the same method was used in a previous incident in France.
