PJ Union sues the State for six years of delay
The ASFIC/PJ is suing the State for failing to regulate key matters related to the Judicial Police's Professional Statute, which has been pending for over six years. The lawsuit will be filed in Lisbon's Administrative Court against the Ministry of Justice, targeting 14 regulations that were supposed to be completed within 180 days of the statute's enactment in January 2020. Key regulations include those on placements, disciplinary actions, and training remuneration, which the union argues are outdated or illegal. The union leader emphasizes the need for a timeline for the approval of these documents to avoid court intervention.
