Unions agree on a 3% salary increase with banks and cancel strike

Bank unions have reached an agreement with credit institutions for a 3% salary increase, leading to the cancellation of planned strikes. The National Union of Bank Workers and three other unions announced the deal, which includes pension adjustments and other financial clauses. They credited the successful negotiations to strong union solidarity and collaboration among bank employees. Consequently, the planned protests and national strike set for November 30, 2026, have been called off. However, demands will persist for institutions not included in this agreement.
