Unions cancel partial strikes on Wednesday and Friday at the Lisbon Metro

The unions have decided to cancel the partial strikes scheduled for Wednesday and Friday at Lisbon's Metro, following a ruling by the Arbitration Tribunal that established minimum services. Union leader Sara Gligó stated that the decision raises concerns about the safety of both users and workers. The Tribunal's ruling allows for the operation of services in a manner requested by the company, which the unions believe contradicts existing legal precedents and compromises safety by permitting the replacement of striking workers with unqualified personnel.
