Sint-Niklaas start fotowedstrijd voor katteneigenaars die hun kat laten steriliseren, chippen en registreren

The city of Sint-Niklaas is launching a photo contest for cat owners who sterilize, chip, and register their cats. The initiative aims to reward responsible pet owners and encourage others to follow suit, thereby controlling the stray cat population. The campaign, titled 'Geknipt, Gechipt en Gelukkig!', invites residents to submit photos of their cats and share why their pets are happy. Many owners still do not sterilize their cats, leading to unwanted litters and abandonment. The contest runs from November 1 to 30, with five winners receiving prizes at the new cat adoption café, Kattenklap.
