Sites suspended due to programming language failures
Numerous websites worldwide were suspended as a precaution due to two vulnerabilities found in PHP, a programming language used by about 70% of sites. Cybersecurity services, including the National Cybersecurity Center, issued alerts after the vulnerabilities were identified by experts from Calif and Wiz using OpenAI's AI model. The vulnerabilities, rated 9.2 on the CVSS scale, could allow remote access to servers, posing significant risks. OpenAI released an update to fix the issues, urging organizations to apply it urgently. Various organizations, including government services in Finland and the Netherlands, temporarily suspended their sites in response to the alerts.
