Safety region sites offline, but information is still being shared between emergency services

Many websites of the 25 safety regions in the Netherlands are currently offline, affecting public access to emergency information. However, the National Crisis Management System remains operational, allowing crisis and emergency services to share information continuously. This system facilitates real-time communication among various entities, including water authorities and the NS, during disasters. The law on the resilience of critical entities, effective since August, mandates that essential services like water and energy companies, banks, and the KNMI must maintain operations during crises, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity regulations.
