Škoda is growing and earning more than Volkswagen. However, the money in the cash register is decreasing.
Škoda Auto reported increased revenues and operating profit for the first three quarters, contrasting with Volkswagen's significant decline. Despite a 7.4% rise in operating profit to €1.92 billion, cash flow decreased by 7.9%. The company anticipates further margin pressure due to rising competition and costs. Global deliveries rose by 6.1%, primarily driven by European markets, with Germany being the largest market. However, sales outside Europe lagged. The electric vehicle segment is growing, but new models have low delivery volumes due to recent production starts. The company faces challenges ahead, including potential restructuring within the Volkswagen group.
