"3.5 million Poles will benefit". The Minister of Finance announces
Poland's Finance Minister Andrzej Domański announced that 3.5 million Poles will benefit from proposed tax changes aimed at reducing taxes for the middle class. The changes include raising the corporate income tax (CIT) from 19% to 22%, which Domański argues is still below the average in Western Europe. He emphasized that the government is transparent about funding these changes by increasing taxes on large corporations. The new tax structure will also introduce a 24% income tax rate for earnings between 130,000 and 150,000 PLN, while maintaining a lower rate for incomes below that threshold. Domański addressed concerns about Poland's public debt, stating it remains lower than the EU average, and highlighted ongoing efforts to implement energy market solutions for households.
