Investigators found a dangerous oxygen leak in the hospital on Madaliński Street

In early October, prosecutors investigated the anesthesiology columns at the Holy Family Specialist Hospital after a patient died during surgery. Following inspections, all anesthesiology columns were taken out of service due to maintenance issues and oxygen leaks, posing risks to patients and staff. The investigation revealed improper installation during previous repairs, leading to a tragic incident where a pregnant patient suffocated. The hospital confirmed that operations continue with alternative gas supply systems while planning thorough renovations of the anesthesiology columns. The investigation is ongoing, with no charges filed yet, as various negligence issues have been identified.
