Zoltán Sólyom has become the new CEO of Szerencsejáték Zrt.
Zoltán Sólyom has been appointed as the new CEO of Szerencsejáték Zrt., as announced by Finance Minister András Kármán. The minister emphasized that the company, previously seen as a financial tool for the ruling party, is now in capable hands. Kármán criticized the past management for distributing taxpayer money to politically connected firms without transparency. Sólyom, with nearly thirty years of experience in corporate insurance consulting, has served on the supervisory boards of Szerencsejáték Zrt. and Corvinus International Investment Zrt. since August. His predecessor, Zoltán Guller, was dismissed in July after a long tenure in various governmental roles, raising speculation about his future after the regime change.
