"We are a government proud of its police," says the Minister of the Presidency
The Minister of the Presidency, António Leitão Amaro, emphasized the need for rules in behaviors and movements during a ceremony in Porto. He stated that violations must have consequences, particularly in immigration policies. This statement followed police interventions in protests in Porto and Lisbon over the weekend. The event also featured the inauguration of a new modular wing at the Temporary Installation Center (CIT) in Santo António. Minister Luís Neves focused on the capacity of CITs across the country, while Leitão Amaro expressed pride in the police force and the importance of rule adherence.
